The 'Furnace Launch Edition' was available at the Furnace games convention on the 10th and 11th October and further copies of this limited print run can be purchsed at Patriot Games in the UK.

Wordplay is now in final layout and the vanilla core text version will be published in a special 'Furnace Launch Edition' at the Furnace games convention on the 10th and 11th October.
For those unlucky to be able to get to the convention a version will be available on Wordplay Games Lulu site for ordering. Full details will be strewn all over this site when the time coes.
The vanilla core text edition is almost with us!

Wordplay is now with the editor. The text is effectively in production for PDF and book release later this year.
The February 2009 release of Wordplay is available in PDF format on our downloads page. This draft release of Wordplay is fully playable and will be updated with the post edited core rules of the game later in the year.

The Wordplay Playtest 0.51 – ‘Pleasure is Nature’s test, her sign of approval’ is the fully proofread core rules of the game. Many thanks to Nick Bradbeer for doing such an excellent job. This version has just been sent through for editing.
My Epic Fantasy Theme is 4000 words in and should be completed by Christmas, along with the others that are in development and we remain on track for a Spring 2009 release.

The 'I started with a violence that nearly unshipped my front uppers' August release of Wordplay is now available in PDF format on our downloads page. This late draft release of Wordplay is fully playable and completely free to download.
This version of the text is now being shipped over to our proofreading and editing team prior to layout. The 'Epic Fantasy' example theme to be made available at our launch is still currently in very early draft but is included to provide examples. We hope you enjoy our game!

The 'Wait until you see the whites of their eyes' June release of Wordplay is now also available in PDF format for wider take up and feedback on our downloads page. This early draft release of Wordplay is fully playable and completely free to download.
The text will continue to develop, with a complete 'Epic Fantasy' example theme available at our launch in October. Download and play and let us know what you think.

The 'Wait until you see the whites of their eyes' Beta release of Wordplay has just been issued to the playtesters. This is slightly earlier than expected and leaves an extra few weeks for any finishing touches to the core game.
We are very much on track for the release of the game in October.

The Wordplay Games website has had a makeover. General legibility and flexibilitiy has been improved and is ready for more news and content as we head towards the beta versions of Wordplay through the Summer and the release of the game as a free PDF in October!
